Yes, he was Catholic. You'll hear people reference Hitler's Table Talk quite frequently to try and say he wasn't a Christian but there's a problem with that. The supposed quotes are highly suspect. They don't show up in the original German but first appear in a 1950s French translation. There were several people at those dinners that when asked about them said they never heard Hitler say those things. From things we do know he said he did criticize Christianity from a political perspective, but never a religious one.

Rim job - that is not that simple. It is more complicated. The church also offered protection to thousands of people during the height of persecution.
