The mother of my kids keep telling me I’m selfish and only thinking of myself because I decided to enroll in school after we broke up?

(Aviation Mechanic). At times she would make me feel like I have to quit school and just work. We do have 2 kids. She makes 22/hr I never had a job more than 15/hr and would like to change way more to better my self provide for my kids and myself. I just want to earn enough to buy a home so I can happily provide for my daughters. I am working 3 days a week at amazon to help out with what I can making 15. But seems like that’s not enough. Is she wrong or does it seem like she wants to hold me Back from achieving things ?

Update:

when me and her were together she had no problem with the idea even went on to say shes willing to hold things down show i can focus on passing if that ment going to school to make more money

Just remind her, the more money you make the more child support you will be paying.

When my father went to school for a stationary engineering license, my brother and I were toddlers. He was a brick layer and worked hard during the day, always overtime in the summer. So it was our only time together. He read the homework books out loud to us. We were part of his study-time. Being the goofy guy he was, he made funny voices and animated the dry as dust book. He said it helped him remember the answers during the test.

I hope you can take all or part of this suggestion. You are an example for your children, and you don't answer to anyone but them.

Are there many jobs available for an aviation mechanic? How long does the program take? How much does it cost and how are you paying for it? If using loans, will you have a way to pay them back when you graduate?

Do most of the the individuals who recently graduated from your program have jobs? How many hours are they working and how much do they make?

It doesn't take rocket science to figure out $15 an hour working 24-30 hours a week doesn't create much money.

Have you ever stayed at a job long enough to move up? Or in the past have your earnings been reduced because you hop all over the place never looking for a better job, just a different job?

Since you have 2 kids...work full-time and go to school part time.
