Is the society on Netflix accurate?
I know the kids can’t perform procedures exactly how they’re supposed to, but can an IV of regular saline fluids really fix antifreeze poisoning like they showed? Like if anything I’d expect them to need more medicine than that

Nope.
They usually give two specific medications which are antidotes. They created these because antifreeze poisoning is so dang common. Kids like drinking it because it's sweet tasting and it's usually bright colors... The antidotes prevent further metabolism of antifreeze and it helps you survive. They can be given THROUGH an IV, they're not in special bags. You just take a needle and push it into a plain .9 saline bag and mix it up.
Patients also have to go on emergency dialysis, which is when they hook you up to a machine that chemically cleans your blood of toxic material for a few hours, acting as like an external robotic kidney.
They try pumping your stomach but usually it's not enough to save people since antifreeze gets rapidly absorbed.

You know comcast owns netflix too so you are just giving them more money. I think a society on Facebook is more accurate.
