In general can you drink sugar water before a blood test as long as it isn't a glucose test?

I have to take a blood test and I'm fasting for it but my bg is going low and I can't call any offices or anything because they're all closed at this hour.

Can I take just straight sugar or something to raise my blood sugar before a blood test?

Update:

For clarification: I know that this is not a blood glucose test, this is to test for other things like iron and B12.

Update 2:

I took a juice box, I will ask the nurse tomorrow. Thanks for the help y'all.

Update 3:

Y'all are hopeless.

The answer is NO. I asked the nurse and she said that even water mixed with sugar was fine. I told her about what happened and she said that my particular fast only had to be 10 to 12 hours.

Thanks for berating me for asking a question under stress. Because all of you are complete jerks I will not name a "best answer" because they were all personal attacks out of ignorance.

First, ma'am, how do you know your "bg is going low"? Have you tested it?

If you do decide to drink sugar water before your blood test, you MUST inform the person who's drawing your blood so that they are aware that you've 'broken' your fast.

Fasting for a blood test? What? If your blood sugar is a problem, you should maintain it at all times with a healthy diet.

There's literally no reason to try to lie on a blood test. It only hurts you.
