Jehovah's Witnesses. Can an angel die?

Jws make an argument that Jesus cannot be God since God cannot die, and Jesus died.

(Let us overlook for now that the Word was God, the Word became flesh, and it was the flesh that died)

However is there any record of an angel dying?

It appears that all the angels there at the beginning of the Bible will still all be there at the conclusion.

Even Satan, a fallen angel, doesn't get killed.

So I Jesus cannot be God because god cannot die, then how can He be an angel if angels never die?

The fact that God cannot die is exactly the reason He took on a human nature, so that He could die a horrible death for our sake. Angels and demons cannot die. Only physical bodies can die, and angels do not have physical bodies.

Hmm... yes. Angels can die. All the angels that rebelled with Satan will die.

If they can't, then the second half of the very first prophecy found in God's wouldn't come true.

Satan is ' crushed in his head'; a death blow.

GNT Gen 3:15 I will make you and the woman hate each other; her offspring and yours will always be enemies. Her offspring will crush your head, and you will bite her offspring's heel.”

    But what about Luke 20:36?

(Luke 20:36) “36 In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels, and they are God’s children by being children of the resurrection.”

The context is concerning those resurrected to heaven.

    Why do humans die today?

Because we have inherited sin from Adam.

Adam prior to his sinning was a perfect human son of God.

The only mention of death was disobedience.

We on the other hand are not 'perfect' human sons of God.

Jehovah in his great love for mankind, sent his Son to die, so we could have this sin removed.

Once this sin is 'totally' removed then we will again be 'perfect' human children of God; NO LONGER dying because we are Adam's descendants.

The angels did not descend from Adam, thus they do not have Adamic sin, causing them to grow old and die.

What is the penalty of sin for both humans and angels?

    Death!

Those resurrected to heaven no longer have Adamic sin do not die anymore, for they like the angels will be spirit beings / creatures, sinless children of God.

The Bible tells us that Satan and his wicked angel will be killed . But we must first preach the Good News about God's Kingdom, and than the end will come. -Matthew 24:14.

Yes, angels can die. Any being that God has brought into existence - heavenly or earthly - can be put to death. Demons (angels that disobeyed and became on the side of Satan) can and will be put to death in the future. There is no record of an angel being dying because it has not happened yet. To say that there is no record of that happening means it can't is flawed reasoning. There is no record of a human living forever either . . . yet. But Jesus said there would be. That's what he died for! It's true that Witnesses teach God can't die. So does the Bible. It's true that Witnesses say that Jesus cannot be God because Jesus died. So does the Bible. To offer an exception and say only Jesus' flesh died is to discount the Bible's teaching on the ransom. There is an equivalency involved in the ransom sacrifice, the whole point is that it's a covering sacrifice, to buy back what Adam lost. Adam didn't lose life as a god, he wasn't a god, he sure wasn't God Almighty. Adam was human and that's all. A perfect human. So was Jesus that's why the Bible calls hm the last Adam. Saying God can die as long as he's in human flesh is unbiblical, unscriptural, and makes no sense. It's just a qualification people come up with to support their teaching that Jesus is God almighty.

Of course Satan will be killed, destroyed, dead. Is it really justice to say that God won't destroy Satan at the end of it? Seriously? Life is a gift to the obedient. Do we really think God is going to let Satan and the demons continue to have the gift of life forever - they're just gonna hang around in an abyss and kick back? Seriously? God destroyed those folks in the flood but he's gonna let demons and Satan live forever? Folks in the Sodom and Gomorrah got what Jude called the judicial punishment of forever destruction but demons and Satan who are far worse are going to be playing cards in an abyss and drinking beer?

God did not die. Jesus came to earth as God and Man. Only his human side died.

The scriptures say Jesus died in the Flesh but was raised up to heaven in Spirit form.

What??? You do you not think Jehovah God can make that happen? Of course he can, he can do anything he want to his son, He is powerful!!!

God does not need to put himself on the level of humans.

    Think deeply about your beliefs.

Jesus is not God, he has never been and will never be!

People back then disobeyed God and that never stopped, they made idol worship and made their own gods and followed their own beliefs just like Today with the Twisted Trinity 3&1 belief.

When will people see that Faith without works is dead.

They are so busy trying to prove evolution and the Trinity belief are true, when they are not following Christ commands....

Satan has blinded so many from the Truth! So sad

In Heaven, you can not die. So, angels probably can't die either.
