    Genetics are a tricky thing when it comes to how tall someone will be. What about your grandparents. What about aunts and uncles. Chances are, there is a wide variety of both tall and short people in your immediate genetic makeup. Sure, your genetic code comes from your parents, but they have genetic code from their parents, so your grandparents and your aunts and uncles would show some of that genetic possibilities.
