Most Turks are Caucasians of Turkic ethnicity. The indigenous peoples of the Caucasus region are varied but many are also of Turkic ethnicities.

According to some theories, this is the area where the original Indo-European peoples spread from about 6000 years ago. Indo-European languages are nowadays spoken in most of Europe and in some parts of Asia.

None. Ethnicity is language and culture. As far as we know, there always have been dozens of different ethnicities in the caucasus region
