Ask knowledge seeking questions and provide enough information so the users responding can give you a good answer.

Post your question in the most relevant subcategory for the topic, and post it during the daytime hours in the US (late afternoon/early evening seems to be the most active) to get the most eyes on it.

Questions only need one correct answer, so quantity of answers should be irrelevant other than for genuine/legitimate poll or survey questions (not chat questions such as "what's your favorite _____ ").

The vast majority of questions on the site with multiple pages of answers, are violations for chat. You may post the same question more than once but select different subcategories, and wait about 24 hrs between postings. When you post the 2nd time, be sure and include that you previously posted the same question in a different subcategory, but didn't receive the desired replies so are trying again in a different subcategory (that will help reduce the amount of users who call you out for posting the same thing again).

You need to frame your questions better so that more people want to answer them. That's the only way. Posting lots of copies of the same question just gets them reported as duplicates.

Make it a better question. Write it well, no redundancy or unnecessary information. Make it a question whose answer can't be simply looked up but calls for conclusions or opinions. Make it on a hot-button topic.
