I'm diabetic and I just got my monthly visitor. My blood sugar was (152) today and I've been eating right and exercising. On Pills only?

Could this be because of my period

Drink more water and increase your salt intake.

The adult body loses around 2 quarts of water per day and this has to be replaced. Whenever you lose water you also lose salt - this too has to be replaced. This water and salt are needed to produce energy.

When the body is low on water and salt, the brain will be running on almost 100% sugar. The brain will also raise the levels of sugar in your blood s that it can work properly. Oddly enough, the body needs insulin to be able to use sugar as energy but the brain does not require it at all.
