Jehovah's Witnesses. Why is it important to examine the qualifications of Bible translators?

Suppose you need to have surgery for a life-threatening illness. You would want to have the utmost confidence in the surgeon, since your life will be in his hands. Would it not be prudent to review his record of experience?

Similarly, it is wise to examine religion carefully. If you belong to a religious organization, you are, in effect, putting your spiritual life in its hands. This includes your prospects for salvation.

The only qualification to be a Jehovah's Witness translator is to have swallowed the JW doctrine hook, line, and sinker.

  • The expertise of the translator is indeed important.... but to know that the translators are truly being led by God is even more so........... regarding. Salvation......... it is not neceesary to have ever read one word in any Bible for one to come to The Creator God in The Way He prescribes.... The Salvation message is preserved in the hearts of all of those of The Body of God's Church... and that message can be shared without referencing any Bible... if... The one hearing has been converted by God

I have listened to many JWs..... and I just can not find The Truth of the Salvation message in their words.....

i accept basic honest questions about the God stuff at... neversubmit @yahoo.com

I saw publications in 900 vernacular languages on their website and know that they have the most outstanding translation qualifications on earth today.

If the translation wasnt good quality, people in those languages would be telling them about it...

Worse than that the so called translators of the so called New World Translation did not understand the original languages.

It is nothing but a re vamp to suit their heretical teachings.

Jehovah's Witnesses are incredibly dishonest in pursuing converts to their cult.

15“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them.>>>>> 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

    True and False Disciples

21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

7I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8Watch out that you do not lose what we a have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

Jesus was the must qualified person ever to teach about God and performed miracles and even then there were people calling into question his qualifications. With spiritual matters a human school doesn't qualify a person.

Look at modern translations that deliberately remove the Divine Name Jehovah. It's in the whole Old Testimate of the ASV and in the KJV 4x. But the NKJV, NIV, the NASV and others totally remove it. Qualified translators intentionally mistranslated it as LORD every time. Are these the persons who determine another's qualifications? Is the thief to determine the qualifications of the police officer?

JW translators let the quality of work stand on its own. If it's translated correctly most JW critics STILL won't agree on it anyhow.

Yes it's wise to ALWAYS examine religion carefully.

1Thess.5:21 says to carefully examine the Scriptures to make sure of all things to what is well-founded and true. Also Col.2:8 tells us to Look out that no one takes you captive by means of the philosophy & empty deception according to human tradition, according to the elementary things of the world & not according to Christ.

Why did we decide that a new translation of the Bible was needed? 1)Was to be loyal to God’s word. Rather than taking liberties with God’s inspired writings, Bible translators should be faithful to the original text. But in most versions, the divine name, Jehovah, is not used in the Holy Scriptures. 2)That was easy to understand.  Languages change over time. Many translations contain obscure or obsolete expressions that are difficult to understand. Ancient manuscripts have been discovered they are more accurate & closer to the originals

resulting in a better comprehension of Biblical Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.

  • Whoever is from God, and believes in his word as it is described in the Holy Bible, is in his truth, whoever cripples his word is the antichrist!

That their religious organization was founded by Charles Taze Russell, then split, and there was a reform, so-called Jehovah's Witnesses?

Talking to many of them, and lost time, but there were some who converted to Christianity, because they prayed with the heart to God, that it might reveal itself, and so it was!

We have to thank God for touching their hearts, they left that organization that is outside Christian doctrine, unfortunately others, will lead them to hell!

As always, I have to ask you. Salvation from whom?

The offer that God makes according to Christianity is not an offer of mercy. It is a threat, thinly disguised as an offer. "Worship me, and I might not throw you in a lake of fire" is not something a good, compassionate, loving being would say.
