When I’m in college can I date an 18 year old freshman?

I’m 27 and I’m going to attend a local community college in New York State for one full semester. Then I’m going to transfer to Santa Clara University in Santa Clara California for the remainder of the first year and 3 more years.
Since the age of consent in California is 18 can I date an 18 year old female freshman student?

Yes you can, legally speaking, though you're going to find that there will be a large discrepancy in age and maturity. It wouldn't be surprising if you found 18-year old females rather boring.

You legally can, , but why would you want to.  You are going into your 30’s. These students are  just coming out of high school. That is a world of difference at this age,
It is kind of creepy you would  ask since you already know you can date/ have sex with an 18 year old.  Like you are going there with the intent of just finding teens you can be with.
