Can I wear short shorts when I go to college?
I’m 27 and after one full academic semester in my freshman year I’m planning on transferring from community college in New York State to Santa Clara university in Santa Clara California.
The universities non discrimination policy covers gender identity and gender expression even though it’s a Jesuit Roman Catholic university. I’m a guy and I shave my legs can I wear short shorts and the university doesn’t have a dress code and they even have an lgbtq center on campus.?

college is where everyone can be themselves and not having to be thinking about dress code. most colleges don't really pay attention to what you wear.

I thought the point of going to college was to get an education. And at 27, you should know better.

What I'd recommend is packing those more daring clothes but not wearing them on campus until you get a feel for how people whose sexuality and edgy fashion sense are really viewed, rather than what the policy states.
You might find they're cool with it, but a religion-based college might be fine with it in theory but not in practice. It would not be the school I'd recommend for a gay guy who wants to dress pretty "out there."
