What's the worst / scariest / dangerous / horrible thing you have ever witnessed in a hospital or aged care facility?

I remember my grandmother was in one after she had a stroke. she could not talk but knew what was going on. Anyway this catty woman who was in the same room said oh she wont last long and the look on my grandmothers face was horrible.

The place was full of old people

In the late 1970s Working in Neurosurgical theatre at a Glasgow Hospital a young child with a subdural haematoma died, It was the first time i dealt with a child who lost their life, It was heartbreaking and also having to break the news to her family, I actually cried that night at home.

I was a patient.....I was 13 with a throat infection. The nurse left to prepare a shot of medication for me. Next to me an elderly man died. I could see them working on him through the curtain.
