Why Christians do not got the lowest divorce rates? Christians keep making the oath "until death put apart" oaths in god name are serious?

1 Corinthians 7:39 A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.

Deuteronomy 23:21 If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin.

Luke 16:18 “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

They may have married someone who's not a Christian. Also, please provide a source for "Why Christians do not got the lowest divorce rates". So, are you asking why they don't have low divorce rates, or why they do? I noticed lots of Grammar mistakes that made your question hard to understand.

Depends on the marriage? Some the man beats his wife, she would not be made to stay in a marriage like that. what if the man refuses to work? The bible says then she is free from that man. What if he has and affair ? Then the marriage vow is broken and she is free from her vow. So lot's of things to consider and Jesus never said, she could not get a divorce he just said it is not a good idea.

  • I notice you said "Christians", sure, because in whatever denomination, they have their own sets of rules. However, in Catholicism, there is no such thing as "divorce". Only under extreme circumstances with the approval of the pope can the marriage of the couple be "annulled" (as if the marriage never happened). Without going through that hard process, if a person in the Catholic faith files for a divorce, it is not valid in the eyes of God, thus they are still married. Hope this clarified something! God Bless!

Because religious people tend to be less moral than the general populace.

You've obviously been duped into thinking that anyone who calls themselves a "Christian" is in fact one (Mt 7:21-23).

For many self-proclaimed Christians, they have no problem obeying God's commands--as long as they agree with them.

Well because the devil is after the ones that are saved.. the devil doesn't bother for the ones that are lost.. because they are already his.... a unfaithful spouse is hard to forgive and divorce is allowed in the case of a cheating partner ... soo what can I say.. its sad..

By reciting the rosary each day with care, a person can battle divorce and other sins, and can better know the true meanings of Bible verses.

Because when you believe it's impossible for you to ever sin (as Christians do) then oaths mean nothing.

Indeed if you break them, you've still done something right.

You see, when I said to my wife "until death do us part", I meant it...because my worldview requires me to mean it.
