Possible to remove IMEI from blacklist?

My phone was stolen several weeks ago. I have video proof of the theft and a police report was filed Thief immediately turned off location services so I was unable to locate my phone. I reported it stolen to my carrier who blacklisted it. I jumped online today to check the location (I check once a week to see if it popped up) and found that the device was removed from the black list. How is this possible?

Carrier should only remove it from the blacklist if it was you that requested that, call your provider and ask them.

Ask your carrier the same question.

Check with the carrier to see if it has been actually removed or just the system you are accessing misreporting the status.
