06 Pontiac Grand Prix, P0306, P0422 codes. 75psi in Cylinder 6. The rest of the cylinders are 100psi. Can this be fixed?

    yep -- get a new engine

    all compressions should be 155-165psi with a min pressure of 145 psi

    Hopefully it's a poor seal in the valves. Unfortunately finding out is an expensive job. I would trade it in.

    How much money do you have to fix a 13 to 14 year old Pontiac? It is no Mercedes, after all.

    Source(s): I enjoyed my mom's 62 Pontiac Catalina with the 389 V8. It was fast! But then in 1966 one of the pistons got too hot. Something about one old spark plug being under the air conditioner compressor, too hard to change. So that damaged that cylinder's compression. Funny how things never seem to change.
