Does an official transcript show a degree awarded? Or just your total credits and classes taken?

It is usually near the top of the transcript under something like "Date degree awarded" or "Date of awarded degree" with "Type of Degree."

Yes, it DOES show degreeS awarded, and when they were awarded, BUT there CAN be typographical errors. My University of Oklahoma trans tilt says I be a B.A. in geography. It is a B.S. in physical geography, NOT a B.A. The classes are supposed to be listed. Neither my Tulane or University of Oklahoma transcripts has total credit hours or cumulative GPAs on them. If you want a copy of your transcript, go to the registrar's office and fill out a transcript request, or you can do it online. I sat there and waited for them to photocopy 10 transcripts in 2013. It may NOT be an official transcript with the watermark in the paper ad the digital equivalent. My Tulane transcripts are probably over 30 years old and say "Issued to student" on the back of each page. Almost no one cares about transcripts that are 48 years old .

Assuming you have completed a degree, that information would be included.
