How do I record a full album cheaply but professionally? Advice pls?

I have written loads of songs and want to record an album to release and become famous with. I am in contact with a major label but there s one problem, I don t have enough money to go to most studios as my parents won t pay for it and we are a middle class family, living in rentals. I have hand picked about 30 songs out of the possible 12-15 that will make it. My friend apparently has a studio and she said I could use it for free however I need to believe her first and there s not many local trustworthy studios around.

You have no clue.  You do not *record an album and get famous*.  No management, agent, or recording company will TOUCH you unless and until you have a PROVEN  RECORD of success - a long list of successful paying gigs, in a large geographical area; a HUGE amount of online fans; provable CD sales in high numbers, etc.  They are not there to *get your polished up* to be a star - they only make money WHEN YOU ARE WORKING - and they are not there to teach you how.  Yes, there are recording studios that will record anybody and anything for CASH - does not mean the contents are any good whatsoever - you just have a big pile of things to give away to relatives at Christmas.  Good luck - but it sounds like you are a lamb - and do not know that the wolves will not EAT you - they will just let you starve.
