Why do people still read newspapers? Is it like being in an abusive relationship?
Especially newspapers like the Sun which unashamedly tell you how to think. All the newspapers lie, some less so than others. Newspapers like the Independent actually support liberalism. The Guardian pretends to be left-wing but invariably smears any strike or offers woolly thinking at best.
They all use biased language to corrupt. At least on the internet you can choose news sites that actually attempt to explain the news, depending on your political ideology, rather than merely report it.

The local print paper here, the Sun Sentinal is mostly ads. The on--line version has news with frequent updates and. video clips. A few major cities no longer have a print edition at all.
I think Cincinatti OH doesn't have print edition.

Reading News Papers has been habit since years and people still prefer to read news papers. After the advent of internet most of the new generation readers switched to web world but news papers still find space also. Some section of people read news papers for jobs listings, classifieds and some govt related advertisements.

Either you have never read a newspaper or you have never been in an abusive relationship. They are nothing alike.

No. Some people are set in their ways for years and years and years and dont like change. I just got my haircut and the older gentleman that cuts me hair doesnt have Facebook or any social media; not even an email address.
I told him some people use Facebook just to keep up with friends and family, but he wasnt going for it.
It's not an abusive relationship, for some people it's being afraid of change.
