Would Koch Chicken have avoided the ICE raids if they only did "Background Checks" on their employees to keep out the unqualified...Hmmm?

Or will the unqualified still get their "jobs" somewhere else? Maybe at a "Job" show?

Update:

Or across a Stateline that has less stringent background checks?

Every employer who does not pay cash under the table has to do a background check on every person they hire. When I was responsible for hiring and firing, HR gave me a federal mandated list of IDs with photos. The applicant would need at least 1 of them. A social security card was required, and a green card for non citizens (they were actually pink). If the applicant could provide the required papers, they were eligible for work. If they could not provide the paper work, they could not legally work. This is where the cartels come into the picture. For a price, they will provide high quality forgeries of the govt documents required to work in the US. They often fool the e-verify system and illegals go to work through fraud and forgeries. The illegals should be held responsible for fraud and forgeries, not the employer who accepted their documents in good faith Everybody knows that Canada doesn't have "open borders" and that Canadian immigration laws are stricter than American immigration laws are. Probably 1 of the reasons Canadas population is less than that of California, eh Beav.

You haven't tried to hire anyone in the US in a while I see. The ACLU types and risk averse company lawyers have an interviewer locked down so tight, you have no ability to properly vet a prospective candidate for fear of discrimination lawsuits and the like.

I cannot ask a person's legal status, if they have a criminal record, if they use illegal drugs, etc. I can barely ask them if they possess the necessary qualifications to perform the functions required of the position. If the person happens to be a "politically reliable" minority, The Inclusion and Diversity Director sits in on the interview. Not for Whites, SW / East Asians though. Funny how PC works, and the negative unintended consequences it produces.

Given they owe billions in back wages to these people it is not surprising Trump is rescuing another of his supporters. They will simply replace them with more complacent illegal workers
