My former spouse had phimosis. Shouldn't he be circumsized to fix it? How does it affect him?

We only had sex a couple times, so I dont know how, or if at all, it affects him. He didnt want to talk about it.

Phimosis can be fixed easily without the need to circumcise in most cases!

So much better and more pleasure for him and partners if he remains intact!

That is not the fix. He needs to see a urologist.

Phimosis (a tight, non-retractable foreskin) is a serious problem which inhibits both proper daily hygiene and sexual pleasure. His parents ought to have ensured that he could, and did, fully retract daily to wash ubder the foreskin.

A totally waste material called smegma is constsntly produced and retained under the foreskin until washed away with soap and water. Your ex's penis must have had a really rank smell to it! He was also putting you at risk of UTIs and other infections since the smegma attracts harmful bacteria and fungal infections which can then be easily transferred during any form of sex.

It is unfortunate, but few men with phimosis want to talk about it. They are so afraid that they will be told the truth, which is its dangers and the fact that the only way to cure it is circumcision. Circumcision, even for an adult male, is a quick, simple and very safe procedure that can easily be done under local anaesthetic in a doctor's office. It brings many proven health and sexual benefits to both the man himself and his sexual partners with no drawbacks.

It is not surprising that you only had sex a couple of times. He would have got little pleasure from it and I'm sure yours was also severly compromised. You are better off without him if he wouldn't even talk about getting the phimosis cured.
