Does the Garmin Forerunner 25 have an accurate heart rate monitor?
Been running with it and love it, just curious if the heart rate monitor is accurate

That uses the Garmin chest strap heart rate monitor. It is accurate.
However, in my experience, the chest strap may wear out in less than 2 years, or even in 1 year. When it does, the reported heart rate is wildly inaccurate. It's not even in the same ballpark.
The chest strap heart rate monitor has a detachable electronics pod. When the strap itself goes bad, the electronics module may still be reliable. It can be transferred to a replacement strap.
