Is this fraud what my local goodwill is doing?

My local goodwill has dollar day Thursdays for a specific tag color and when I sometimes go in I see them taking off those color tags and putting on a different color tag avoiding customers from getting that item for one dollar. To me this is fraud and also a case of false advertising

No, not at all. They can have the sale or not, and they can tag whatever times they want with that tag, and change it around as much as they want.

So, your contention is that it's fraud anytime a store changes the price of an item?? Really?

No, l don't think so. They can change the tag color if they want. Stores are allowed to change their prices whenever they want, and they often do it right before a sale. Maybe if you tell them you went all the way there with a specific item in mind only to find the tag color changed, they might give it to you.
