Light came on that said check gauges on the dash?
My car has been in storage and i went to start it and it started up fine and ran great for about 3-4 minutes then the check gauges light came on and the car stalled. I attempted to start it again and it only ran for a couple seconds and stalled again still saying check gauges. Nothing else illuminated so I am not sure what is wrong. The battery is brand new and i did put some additional oil in bc I noticed it was done a bit. Any ideas?

No idea what's wrong, but you can get an idea if you pull the OBD2 trouble codes. I had a GMC Topkick, 1994, that always displayed "check gauges", though it ran fine and still does. Mr Goodwrench never could fix that either. Try shooting a little starting spray into the throttle and see if the engine runs several seconds as it burns all that up. That will tell you the problem is likely fuel related. If starting spray won't start the engine, it has other problems that OBD2 trouble codes can point out. By the way, do the gauges say anything unusual?

I would check the gauges, unless "Check the Gauges" is French for "Ask Yahoo Answers". I don't know French.

See if it will start again by taking the air cleaner tube to the throttle body off and shoot a blast of starting fluid into the throttle body. If it starts and runs a few seconds you have a gasoline problem which is likely the fuel pump not supplying the proper fuel pressure.
You out of gas?

I have never heard of a check gauges light. I assume you are referring to the check engine light. Did you put fuel stabilizer in the gas tank before storing it? If not the fuel may have gone bad.
