I always love it when a JW steps thinking they're really clever only to allow God to make them look foolish!

The problem here is simple. Blood transfusions have become so common place that many in the medical fraternity used them without thought.... i.e. overused. A lot of research has confirmed that on lots of occasions blood has been used when it needn't have been. This is what the JWs latch onto and try to make it sound like doctors believe it's better to not use blood at all!
To JWs I say, you are either deluded (because you believe that lie) or an outright liar (because you know it's not true).............You take you're choice!
In reality, John Hopkins, whilst spearheading many bloodless treatments, in part for medical reasons but also in part to provide treatment for religious idiots who won't have blood, still provide blood transfusions and more importantly publicly accept that in many cases the use of blood is either essential to preserving life or highly beneficial.
So the answer is that John Hopkins isn't letting kids die from bloodless medicine because where those kids need blood John Hopkins is giving that blood. DId you know that and lie?

Maybe it is a way God uses to see who is really willing to give his life for God? Didn't Job lose his sons and daughters to prove his faithfulness to God? How many young men go into battle for their country or some political party to prove their love of their country? A lot more young men die in battle for some man they will never see in their life time. How much better to die for our faith in God that some man who is a sinner.

Taking blood is your legal choice, there is nothing wrong with standing by your beliefs. No one should force you to take drugs or blood. Especially putting someone else’s blood inside your body....you have your rights.
There are many more issues in this World, people are starving and homeless, what about them? Especially when so much food can be made available....too save lives.
Why are not people concerned about helping instead of complaining in their little isolated world in front of their iPads.....

Catholicism is the One True Faith and a person can know this with certainty by reciting the rosary each day with care.

All types of surgery can be performed successfully without blood transfusions. This includes open-heart operations, brain surgery, amputation of limbs, and total removal of cancerous organs.
Bloodless’ open-heart surgery, originally developed for adult members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses sect because their religion forbids blood transfusions, now has been safely adapted for use in delicate cardiac procedures in infants and children. Cardiovascular News
Thousands and thousands of doctors worldwide do not now use blood when they operator on JW's, many people that are not JW's, now do not have blood transfusions, because there is no need, blood is simply a money making business.
and only the people that do not know about these procedures still have transfusions, or they are ignorant of what the Bible says.
