My school doesn’t allow us to release our transcripts until the fall, yet West Point wanted my initial transcripts before the school year?

ended. What should I do on that regard?

Well, now that it's fall it seems that you should be able to get them submitted. But I think you could go up the chain of the administration, all the way up to the superintendent of your school board if necessary, to make an exception to that policy. I think if they hear that the transcripts are for West Point they'll get them taken care of pretty quickly.

Believe me if it's West Point you're talking about, you can get your transcripts released. Go to the school Superintendent.

That's not true. The school can release your transcripts whenever it wants. If you went to a different high school in the middle of the year they would have to release your transcript.

But let's say it is policy that they won't send transcripts to colleges until the fall. All you need to do is escalate to the people who have the authority. Start with Principal, Superintendent then school board until you get what you want. I'm pretty certain, that if you had written request from West Point for a transcript, it wouldn't take that much effort to make it happen.

You can release an informal transcript; be sure to notify West Point that you'll be sending an official transcript once the school permits. Once you've completed all the necessary requirements, you can ask your school to release an official transcript.
