Do I need more than just the .nds file for r4 Nintendo ds?

I just ordered a r4 for my old Nintendo ds lite. He said the kernels and folders would already be loaded on to it so I just need to put games. I downloaded a bunch of roms. They all came in RAR format I think. I extracted them all but each gave a .nds file, a .png file, a .txt file and a .nfo file. Do I need to add everything to the r4? Or just the .nds file. If I add everything wont it add more to scroll through when trying to select my game from the r4 menu?

I haven't had an R4 in nearly a decade, so I don't remember exactly how the file system works. However, you typically just need the .nds file as that is the game itself. The other files aren't necessary for the R4. The PNG file is just an image; probably the game cover. The txt file might contain information about the ROM. The NFO file is common in 'cracked' games and programs. It is mostly used by the group who cracked the game to show off some ASCII Art as well as provide some information about the game.
