    I. One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.

II. The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.

III. One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.

IV. The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one’s own.

VI. People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one’s best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.

VII. Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word

Every rational person knows Jesus Christ existed, even most atheists. "Believing in" Him goes much deeper that that. It means meeting Him, coming to know Him, and living in daily relationship and communication with Him.

In Mark 16:15, the apostles were instructed to "go teach". Then verse 16 says, "He that believes...". Belief is gained from being taught. ( Romans 10:17)

John wrote, "these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20:31)

So, believing can be gained from the things the Apostles wrote. Their writing teaches us.

Do you just believe that Jesus existed? No, according to that verse, we are to "believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God".

    Is believing alone enough? No!

James 2:19 says that "even the devils believe". The devils or demons believe, but are not saved.

John 12:42-43 says, "Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God."

Here is another example of some that "believed" , but were lost.

you believe that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind and He rose from the dead on the third day in victory over death and you ask Him to forgive you and to save you and to come into your heart to be your savior. God knows your heart and if you truly believe then you receive His forgiveness and will be with Him in heaven when you die. Just believing He existed will not get you into heaven, even satan knows He existed

How does one "believe in Jesus"? = Who cares.

Jesus Christ is a failed messiah, a fraud,

an emotionally unwholesome fool, and a dead man.

Unless Jesus is raised up somewhere and dangling from a cross,

he will never be far enough off the ground not to be dirt.

    Always remember:

Those of the Christ-based faiths will never be proof of what they believe in.

By admitting to God that you are a sinner and humbly asking His forgiveness.

And by realizing that Jesus Christ (God in the flesh) died for your sins and rose again the third day to secure a home a heaven for you. And by asking Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior and following Him.

  • One must exercise faith in Jesus Christ and do God's will. Those who go to heaven are spirit anointed by God and chosen to serve there. They are a small number, a "little flock" numbering only 144,000. The rest of obedient mankind will live eternally on earth as subjects of God's Kingdom.
