Can I headbang after decompression surgery?
So I have chiari malformation which is when the bottom of the brain sags and hangs out of your skull. I'm getting surgery in 5 days but I am also a huge metalhead and love headbanging. I have awesome hair and everything for it. I'm also planning on going to school to start writing music and stuff after all this is over. But the thing is I feel like headbanging is what lots of metal musicians do, literally everyone I ask says that I shouldnt headbang ever again to risk this from happening again. But after the surgery it will be fixed so I should be able to go back to headbanging right?????

Tell your concerns to your doctor that will be doing the surgery and after you have done the surgery. You really shouldn't be asking for non-professional people to gamble with your health and give you advice that is wrong for you.
