depending on state laws regarding possible rifle or shotgun only- a legal to use weapon. for shotguns a 12 bore full choke with number 4 to number 6 shot and preferable to have good sights- rifle sights as used for deer slug guns and a goose gun barrel instead of slug barrel. some states would let scopes be used- drill is fine shot, full choke and good sight for head shots, save body meat. In Pennsylvania that meant flintlock with round ball - 40 caliber minimum some places, .36 caliber/100 balls to pound other places and a general favorite was .45 ball, 60 to 75 grains extra fine powder- FFFG good. for supersonic bullet to 100 meters. one load noted for a .40 cal was 80 grains powder, bullet was supersonic to 150 meters, used on deer also. Archery season? good compound with broad heads or is legal a crossbow- locally crossbows used by elderly and disabled , recent law change now lets some healthy younguns use them in bow season. scope sight and try to get turkey within 50 meters, know a guy with old bone breaks and bad hips got 2 turkeys last year, has got a deer recently. I think you will need special clothes, a tent, weapons, food, a flashlight, matches and hunting skills.
