Who else thinks a large proportion of the Extinction Rebellion campaigners are hypocrites?

They use petrol/diesel powered vehicles to get to where they are protesting. Would be nice if they protested within walking/cycling distance of where they lived.

They are misguided if they think disrupting ordinary people's lives is going to get support for their cause. If they want change they should put up candidates for Parliament and get a proper mandate from the people. As it stands they represent nobody but themselves.

"Who else thinks a large proportion of the Extinction Rebellion campaigners are hypocrites?" What you are really asking is for other ignorant do nothings to find an excuse to carry on doing nothing.

They are funded by George Soros.

I think to describe them as being hypocrites is a little harsh, but if you were to say instead "miss guided and ill-informed" then I would have to agree.

You know what they say about fools, they rush in where angels fear to tread.

Yes it's all about blaming "the system", "the man", "the government". What sacrifice are THEY willing to make? Certainly not their Saturdays, the yoof will only show up if it's day off school. Not their fly-around-the-world lifestyles either. Eco Prince Harry and Emma "Hampstead socialist" Thomson. I distinctly remember them telling us we'd be getting Mediterranean summers in "a few decades" .... back in 1990!!!

I do. They all have mobile phones, laptops, tablets etc all made from plastic. They drink water from plastic bottles and I have seen them with plastic carrier bags. They are just getting people's backs up especially those who can't get to work and are not claiming benefits like most of that lot are.

You can only use the means of transport that are available, I assume part of the idea of the protest is to get more access to greener modes of transport.

Yes they could stay at home and protest in their living rooms but that wouldn't be very effective.

I don't personally know of their habits, but I always suspect that they are themselves bigger polluters than they make out.
