My sister stole from me? ?
A few weeks ago I ordered some things for a music festival that I was going to, but they didn’t arrive until after I left and my sister stole them from me. I don’t live at my house anymore (moved out a couple months ago but used my old address for the delivery) but I really want my things. How can I get them from her? Having a conversation won’t work, we’re kind of estranged, she’s blocked me on everything and refuses to talk to me. Would going to the old house when she’s not there to steal them back be a good option? I don’t really want to cause trouble, just take what belongs to me.

I agree, trying to steal them back could cause you more problems. When your sister discovers that you stole your things back, she could call the police and accuse of taking more than just your stuff from the house. She could say that you stole her valuables, and then it's your word against hers.
If the things that you bought are not very costly, I would advise that you just let it go. Karma will catch up with her. Life is laden with injustice, and it is part of our lesson in life to learn to endure some level of injustice. Those who can't seem to let go or overlook minor infringements end up creating much greater problems for themselves.

That's what I would do, yes. Go to the house when she's not there, find your stuff, take it back. See if that makes her decide to talk to you.

Put a note through her door saying that if she doesn't return the items you will have to involve the police. That should work. If not, ask the police to deal with it. Stealing them back is not a good idea as she may turn it around to accuse you.

That's too bad because you forgot to change the address. Have a nice day.
