Does the liberal mindset focus on policy that elicits an emotion or policy that supports rational outcome?

They certainly seem to use emotional issues to promote their points.

Take the recent appearance of Greta Thunberg harping on about Climate Change, for instance. No science, only a child complaining about a lost childhood? What is not to like?

It is ALL emotions for the left. They can not debate. Watch their pathetic debate skills. The best of the debaters here, rely mostly on playing word games and ignoring logic and those are the best here.

Seriously, these leftists come on here and try to say that the largest corporations on the planet need to ban certain viewpoints. The absurdity of this view is beyond measure.

First, the same people constantly talk about how bad corporations are (and I generally agree) but then want to give the same corporations license to censor people based upon ... politics???

And then the banning policy. ABSURD. How do you go about saying that rap songs talking about killing "n-words", killing cops, pimping out and beating women should NOT be banned, but ban Steven Crowder because he made fun of Carlos Maza? Oh, but don't ban Carlos Maza who told his viewers to throw slurpies at conservatives.

These are not rational people. These are people who have listened to far too much leftist propaganda and believe stupid things like "micro-aggresions".

They cannot even use enough logic to figure out why the right likes Trump. Under normal circumstances, Republicans would give Trump the boot. These are not normal standards.

What we have here is Democrats talking CONSTANTLY about harassing conservative in public, hitting people for wearing a hat, throwing slurpies at people, calling people NAZIS on national TV for being conservative AND THEN having the damned audacity to say the Trump engages in violent rhetoric.

Tell me oh "rational" leftists, what exactly Trump has said that is as violent rhetoric as saying that the red MAGA hat is the new KKK symbol.

All political arguments revolve around both rational and emotional arguments. Political viewpoint is irrelevant. I am a liberal and no one has every accused me of functioning under emotional mindset as a general thing (anger-control issues aside). Liberal ideas tend to be very rational (go read the Declaration of Independence for an example). The difference between the different ideologies respecting the conclusions of rational though lie at the base of the logic, the fundamental world-views that form the foundation for the thinking, and not in a failure to be logical or rational.

Definitely the Libs focus on items that elicit emotion, not rational or pragmatic policies.

How rational is it to have homeless people, or people that don't go to the doctor because they don't have insurance, or can't afford the co-pay?

The more people you have participating in the economy, the stronger the economy is. Left-wing policy enables that, because we don't ascribe to intangible things like the inherent virtue of hard work in of itself. Hard work without adequate pay won't keep the lights on or food on the table.

Source(s): I mean, just about every other Western countries have these rights and entitlements. It's a sick joke, LOL.

Although it focuses on a rational outcome, it tends to be clouded by compromise, which means it can't work as well as socialism or communism.

You CAN appeal in both ways you know. You can make a reasonable criticism of how unethical it is for pharmaceuticals to price gouge life saving medicine and how that's putting a price on people's lives. That's also forcing Americans to travel to other countries for cheaper medicine.

    Rational outcome

Why do you think most intellectuals are left-leaning and most right-wingers are as thick as pigshit?

Trump is a very emotional and vindictive president.
