If you still have the receipt, take a picture of what happened and show it to the seller. Ask if they can resend another bottle. I wouldn't use it if the developer popped open before you got it. If you can't find it in a store then you're better off asking the seller for another box.
Developer from a beauty supply store, isn't always the same thing that comes with hair dye. Developers that those stores sell is usually meant to be mixed with bleach, not hair dye.
