Is my father toxic?
He tends to rub things in.
He's pointed out some of my insecurities. When he did it the other day, he nonchalantly blew it off.
I use to live with my mom and we lived in some pretty bad areas with my two half brothers. He mentions them even though I have asked him not to multiple times. He made me feel like crap when he told me that the oldest half brother has his crap together. (I'm 26 and still trying to get things taken care of)
He showed me pictures of that side if the family.
He quickly dismisses things.
He makes me feel stupid and feel like crap and I feel belittled by him.
Mind you, this is not every day, but it has been persistent for a little over a month now
I can't talk to him. So, what can I do?

he's trying to beat you down emotionally so you won't ever fight back or leave him. you're all he has left. when you go, he'll be all alone, left to stew in his hate. Tune him out, stick to your goals and achieve them. work on getting away from him when you are able,
