No, it's not normal to pee blood. Blood in urine, or hematuria should never be ignored, as it can be indicative of different health problems such as:-
- a urinary tract infection (UTI)
- a bladder infection
- kidney stones
- bladder stones
- (in males) an enlarged prostate gland
- damage to part or all of the urinary system organs, like kidney damage from a sports injury
- certain inherited diseases, like sickle cell anemia
Know however, that it's possible that urine could have been colored in such a way that it looks bloody because of someone having eaten beetroot, or as a side effect of certain medications.
If you have blood in your urine, even if it was just a small amount or once, your should see your doctor as soon as possible.
