My Diabetic team get hysterical if my A1c readings go into an upward curve. They want to see stability, at least.

A1C is a measurement that covers a 6 month average of your blood sugar history. Daily number readings give you the glucose levels at that moment. A .4 point increase indicates that the overall levels of glucose have risen during the past 6 months. You just need to stay on top of it and don't let it get out of control - keep the daily test numbers low.
