Why are Democrats so terrible now?

The left ruined them.

"Liberals" ruined them.

I remember when Democrats were about anti-war, recycling, helping the middle class, caring for the planet, and American citizens of all ages.

Now its illegals, open borders, greed, taxing people to death, helping druggies, criminals, and the super rich, being anti white, anti christian, anti American, anti cop, anti gun, anti family values, anti free speech, anti due process, anti constitution. Pro gay, pro lgbt, pro abortion, pro feminist, pro communist.

I'd honestly rather be a Russian than a Democrat.

I think they have reached their limit with insults from republicans.

Fed up with the antics and rhetoric of Trump, and many recognize the massive skew of wealth that needs some correction. All of the financial gains after inflation since the 1970's has gone to the upper 30%. The current administration is emboldening discrimination, bigotry, and white nationalism. 90% of Republicans in Congress are rich white non-Hispanic males and 30% of the people are white non-Hispanic males. The Democrats seek to equalize representation and make life and money more equitable. Some Democrats are radical in their plans and actions and some more restrained seeking to re-unify the country. People who think the Democrats are terrible have not listened to all of the candidates for President. Some of the people are racist and greedy only concerned about themselves and fail to see a civil war brewing that needs resolution. Some are listening to the massive misinformation in the media and from the President. The Democrats are being reactionary. I happen to highly support Pete Buttigieg for President because of his pragmatic policies and understanding the National Debt issue and knowing the 51% should not crush the 49%. You cannot have a strong and successful country when half the country hates the other half. Get out of the hate and fear.

Because they expect adults to act like adults.

Something trump apparently can not do

You mean Republikans who lie and condemn anyone who expose Trump's crimes! You mean Republikans who refuse to admit that Putin and Trump colluded to spread misinformation to voters during the 2016 election! You mean Republikans who are desperate to expose the identity of the "whistleblower" so they can attack snd intimidate that person.

Democrats were always terrible. The fact that most liberals consider FDR a great president should tell you plenty about how awful liberals are.

Terrible compared the the Orangutan [literally:  "orange man"]-in-Chief?  Really?  DO tell what Republicans of late have done.  There is a Yiddish word for it:  "bupkis", that's what.
