How to get over someone you secretly liked for 8 years ?

So me and this girl went to the same school together. She was the most beautiful girl in school & very popular too. I remember in my first days of school I saw her and really got my attention. But I was too afraid to talk to her. Maybe I guess I was too shy. One day out of the blue she bumped into me (intentionally). I knew she did that on purpose just to speak to me, but I just couldn’t believe that i was very nervous & excited at the same time. It felt like some strange connection between us. So she apologized but I knew that was so she could start a conversation. She told me that she was impressed by my art skills & asked if I could stay after school and do artwork together. For whatever reason I chickened out! **facepalm** I told her that I wasn’t going to be able to. I really regret that decision to this day. For 5 years I’ve seen this girl everyday at school and we’ve never talked every again. I don’t know what she thinks of me now, although I do follow her on Instagram. Interestingly she doesn’t follow me back but sometimes she views my stories. Im worried if I tell her it’s going to feel awkward and strange after coming from me after all these years. Or should I just move on and forget about her?
