What are the adjectives for men and women besides male and female?

I m working on a project for a comm class, and I m trying to refer to males and females by gender and not by sex. What adjective would I use?

That doesn't make any sense. If they're referred to as genders and not sexes they aren't male and female. I wish the word "gender" would be abolished to be honest. No one has any f@cking idea what it is. Can you define gender for me?...

    He, she, it.

    They, their, them.

Masculine, feminine. At least generally. A man isn't always totally masculine, a woman isn't always totally feminine.
