whats the difference between normal cotton and polyester cotton?
I have a stuffed animal that is very low on cotton, i realize this cotton is a lot softer than most of my other animals, so I looked on the cotton and it said it was made with 100% polyester cotton.. I'm not good with this stuff. what would be the difference if I just put normal cotton stuffing in, or something that wasnt all polyester...
edit: thanks for telling me there is no such thing as polyester cotton- I feel so dumb right now. I guess at the most its a mix of the both vs just organic cotton. . .

Polyester is a synthetic material. Cotton comes from a plant. Polyester cotton probably means a mixture of the two and that it's not 100% either one.
For stuffing an animal, it probably doesn't matter, except that the softness and weight might be different. Feel it first and make sure you're happy with it.
For clothing, it makes a big difference. For example, the risk of shrinking in the laundry, the temperature of water that should be used to wash the clothing, how much it wrinkles, and how often you need to iron it, are all different. But these considerations don't all apply to stuff animals, for obvious reasons.

There is NO SUCH THING as polyester cotton. What you are attempting to describe could be a BLEND of cotton and polyester. Actually, the description on the label probably means 100% polyester made to look like cotton.

There is no such thing as poly cotton. That's another attempt by the Chinese at trying to fool us. It's POLY. If for example it is a mix such as 40% poly and 60% cotton, then there you have it but unless it is stated as such, then figure that it is poly.

The polyester-cotton name is very misleading. They are using cotton as some type of marketing gimmick. If the bag says 100% polyester has no cotton and is completely synthetic material. Polyester is the most commonly used material to fill pillows, comforters and stuffed animals.
