    I think this is referring to the most literal, classical and formal senses of the words.

    If so, then probably something of the sort

    May God strike me (that's the curse) if I am speaking anything other than the truth (that's the swear)

    I do not know the man.

    (English Bible translations typically do not employ slang or informal terminology. Typically the words have a more formal and literal meaning.)
