Have you ever tipped a waiter or waitress based on what the person looked like? I find it unusual, but I know some men have done it.?

Yeah, if they look tired and seem a little down I've been known to tip more quietly making sure it is put into their hand alone.  I've figure we've all had times where a little boost has made a big difference.
