Need help with finding a job?
Right now I’m a part time cashier. I have been working cashier jobs since I started my first job a few years ago. (I’m 19 right now and continuing to work until college next year). I don’t mind dealing with the public, but I’m getting extremely sick of it. The job I’m working with now is super busy, I’m a cashier and I’m just standing behind a cash register dealing with customers for 8 straight hours, with minimal back up for when it gets busy. I just need a change in job where I won’t be waiting on customers every shift, all shift. Customers I find are rude for no reason, have no respect, and when I don’t know the answer to something they shake they’re heads and walk off. I’m only trained to be a cashier not for anything else. And when I don’t know the answer they don’t like that. I just need change. I’m kind of aiming towards getting a housekeeping job at a hotel or some place like that. (I love cleaning and keeping things organized and making them look good). Where I can do my own thing and not waiting on customers the whole time. This probably makes me sound like a bad person, but waiting on customers for me right now is just not cutting it. Has anyone ever had a housekeeping job before? What are pros and cons about it? I’ll be moving so will need a new job anyways, just trying to figure out my possibilities that doesn’t involve standing behind a cash register for 8 hours. Anything you think I should look into, let me know I’ll be happy to hear what you guys think.

Friend if you are good with a cash register why don't you consider taking it one step further and becoming a bank teller where you sat inside a bank and dispense real money to people and take in checks there's a lot more money in being a bank teller then in being a cashier

"Has anyone ever had a housekeeping job before? What are pros and cons about it?"
Cons - it's not the same as cleaning your own house.... you will need to become comfortable with finding used condoms in strange places, vomit, etc.
I think you should look for a job as front desk support in a hotel or a general receptionist position (if you can make the hours work with college). These are jobs that will likely help you with your career path in the future even if they aren't related to your major. Housekeeping shows that you are a hard worker but will likely not give you many skill that you can use in the workforce.

my childhood friend, who concentrated on having a good time while we were young, ended up having no education and no vocation. so she works as a cleaner and a night shift substitute for a receptionist at a hotel. she told me when she started cleaning she had difficulties to keep up with the speed. obviously they give u the number of rooms and u must finish all of them before the check in at 3 pm. so u will not be cleaning at your own speed. she used to take her daughter to help her because she was not managing on her own
