What do you pay for Fios internet only? Is this too high? ?

I’m a bit curious. As of now it is 54.99/month for 100/100 Mbps + $12.00/month for the router. First thing is obviously the router increasing the cost. I am considering purchasing my own to save in the long run.

But as for the internet, is that high? I’m not on an agreement either. Is this high in your opinion? It’s just internet.

Paying $70 a month is probably the going rate for fiber optics internet.

FiOS is owned by two companies:

    Verizon FiOS

    Frontier FiOS

We don't know which one you have.

100 mbs is way more than you need. 30 mbs is more than sufficient for a typical "cut the cord" household (meaning digital subscription services and all that).

Unless you plan on downloading things 24/7 you're paying for the ability to occasionally have 3x faster downloads while not noticing the difference the other 99% of the time.

FIOS doesn't exist here in northern California (they only service some parts in SoCal and seemed to have stopped expanding) so I don't know what their plans cost.

For fiber Internet that seems like a pretty decent price.
