Is this " Impeachment " saga the best Christmas present for Trump?

Because I think it is.. My prediction-- a few Dem's in districts where Trump won easily will not vote for impeachment, doing so will be political suicide. This entire farce has been conducted by liberals who hate Trump.

Good luck trying to impeach a president who has helped create a very strong economy( strongest in decades ), strong stock market, and low unemployment. I suspect the American people care more about things that matter to them, like the economy, versus some ridiculous "hearing" headed by delusional and desperate politicians. If it even got to the Senate, which I don't think it will, it will be dead on arrival and Trump can rightfully claim exoneration..

And do not get your hopes up that a Dem candidate can beat Trump in the next election. Do you really think the young and more progressive voters will vote for some old, rich, white male ( Biden) ? If you are a liberal and optimistic, don't worry , you will still be a liberal after Trump wins.. Thoughts?

Shame he hates Christmas, or anything else that makes people smile

Only two Democrats in the Senate didn't vote to authorize the impeachment inquiry.  I doubt that any of the ones who did authorize it will not vote to approve articles of impeachment given the evidence we've seen.  In the Senate I expect that probably all of the Democrats will vote to remove Trump.  The evidence is strong and the only really vulnerable ones just won reelection last year.

Entirely agree. The liberal Democrats will have their day in 2024.

So you're telling us that you would be just fine with a Democratic president doing all the things Trump has done and is doing, right?

I'm glad you're confident. What Trump supporters have not yet figured out is that people don't listen to them, or Trump because we know you are mesmorized by him and the taxpayer funded rallies since his election. You're only cheering amongst yourselves. You listen to his hate and believe it.

The public is moving Democrat in general for many reasons, the most important of which is that only the top 20% have benefited economically for many years with a bigger and bigger skew of wealth. It has grown faster under Trump. More billionaires and multi-millionaires than ever before. But, the bottom 60% is hurting, and made worse by Trump.

    The impeachment has three purposes.

    1) House elected in 2018 to try to leash Trump. They were mandated by the people to oversee him.

    2) Grim Reaper Mitch McConnell blocks a huge backlog of House passed legislation. The Senate can sit around doing nothing, but this keeps the House busy.

    3)  The impeachment trial in the Senate should be made very clear and simple by the hired help of the House. Some people will watch their US Senators vote on it.Many more Republican Senate seats are up in 2020 than Democrat.

We know the Senate won't convict. That's not important.

Economy is very unstable and geared to the wealthy. Average numbers are worthless because of the skew. 85% of stock is owned by the top 10% of wealthy people. The general public is not benefitting. Meanwhile, minimum wage is 40% below January 1980 by Consumer Price Index, and housing, education, medical costs outpaced CPI. Corporate CEO compensation went from 30X to 300X average worker. Low unemployment because people are underpaid and many are not counted in the number they use. It's only 1% below Obama, and percent employed is still below 2008.

And btw, I support Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and he gets support from Republicans with morality still in their beliefs. Many Republicans think Trump is doing bad things. Only some close their eyes, ears, and minds. Former Naval Reserve Lieutenant, Afghanistan war veteran, lowest personal net worth of any candidate, platform of unity of the country and personal values, speaks multiple languages, Harvard graduate and Oxford Rhodes scholar, pragmatic solutions, only 37 years old and technology savvy, respectful of other candidates, well aware of the National Debt and Federal Deficit, an excellent speaker. He's the opposite of Trump. If Uncle Joe Biden is nominated, he has my vote. I will not vote for a racist misogenist advocate of debunked conspiracy theories, narcistic criminal traitor that makes up garbage in his head and occupies the White House today. You can vote for him, and sell your soul doing it.

Tank you for the well-wishes but we don't need 'em. Trump abused his power and extorted a bribe from a fledgling democracy and betrayed America by inviting a foreign gov't to investigate a fellow American---a political rival, for cripes sake. That's asking them to interfere inour elections! To force this action he withheld aid and weapons they sorely needed to defend freedom and democracy from an aggressive, threatening neighbor. Trump deserves his impeachment and truly gave the Dems no choice.

I think so. But not in the way you think. :-)

I think the Dems have their minds made up regardless of the dumb voters who are anti-American Constitution. And what they think.

They'll be doing the jobs they were hired to do.

Which is to take good care of America despite how many turned into Anti American Trump groupies.

May God and the spirit of the founders prevail over the DNC.

I also think you should know that most of New York DOESN'T support Trump. Hence the reason Trump changed his primary address and Andrew Cuomo said his fairwell with cheer. :D Awww.

Andrew Cuomo: "It's not like Mr. Trump paid taxes here anyway." Haha

Source(s): That's my future husbands brother. ;p I <3 Chris Cuomo. Good moral family.

Why do people still believe that presidents can change the economy in the short term? Oh.. Because they haven't taken a class in economics. Listen, I'm independent so I don't hate him. But don't think that he's the reason that any change has occurred.

The places trump won in 2016, he lost in 2018. Everyone always forgets about the last election.
