A question for Army (or Marine) infantry enlisted: How is your winter ARCTIC sleeping bag?

I am in the Canadian Forces, and we take cold weather fighting pretty seriously. The 3 piece Arctic sleeping bag is warm, but, a pain!  The pieces are a cotton type liner, and inner, and an outer.  All 3 pieces tie together.  (There is apparently a hood one can attach, but, I've never seen one in my 42 years.)  The knots from the ties are uncomfortable to sleep on.  And, as all pieces are the same colour - dark green, it can be difficult to see how to get into it in low light conditions.

While they are warm, Canadian Rangers do not use them, despite many being in the Arctic.  There are other, better bags out there.
