Where can I donate my insulin?

I was prescribed insulin when I was pregnant. I have good insurance so it cost me very little. I didn’t need to use my last refill because I gave birth before I needed it. It’s sitting in my fridge, unopened and I don’t need it. I don’t want to throw it out because I’ve heard of people who can barely afford it.

Is there a charity I can donate it to?

No, because the liability of accepting a really unknown medication is enormous. No way to tell what it is really, how it was stored, anything added to it, unknown sterility etc. it’s just your word, which is not enough. But thanks.
