Why won’t North Korea try something?

Why won’t North Korea just try something already instead of their empty threats? Like please launch something. It will be taken down before it even gets to Japan but then we can just annihilate you and wipe rocket man off the face of the planet. I’m sick of them making all kinds of threats and not following through. I really wish they would so we could end them.

Because they know they will be deleted if they do.

Because Nukes could destabilise the Carbon-Cycle, and end most life on the planet.

Because if North Korea does anything first, the Chinese won't help them when there is a retaliation, they would just stay neutral. On the other hand if anyone does anything to North Korea the Chinese will help them, so long as they didn't strike first. So the peace is sort of kept that way.

They have no allies, and are economically isolated from the rest of the world. “empty threats” is probably the smartest move they can do.

    .

Besides if you attack them North Korea can nuke the hell out of anybody because they have nothing to lose. They are just a crappy poor Asian country which is mostly agriculture. Nothing special.

@Ding dong: it’s considered poor for East Asian standards.
