Which short story collection was this horror/sci fi story from?

I think it is horror not sci fi, but perhaps elements from both. I have (or had) this in my Kindle collection, but cannot find it, read it last in 2016-2017. All I remember is a man (I think a father) jumping off I think a balcony. His son who was with his mother watching the news was ceasing to exist, she screamed out to him to look down at himself (Eli I think that was his name), his arms and legs were slowly disappearing. Cannot remember much else, but any ideas? Thanks.
